Michael DeWalt "Mike" Flynn, age 73 of Bostic, died February 5, 2022.

Mike was born January 3, 1949, in Rutherford County and was a son of the late Loner and Reba Koone Flynn. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Bostic and a former member of the Bostic Volunteer Fire Department. Mike worked for the Town of Forest City in the Parks and Recreation Department where he retired.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Michael Scott Flynn and three grandchildren, Madison, Melanie, and Grayson Flynn.

Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Linda Lee Flynn, sons, Jamie Flynn (Jennifer) of Ellenboro, Matt Flynn (Michelle), Forest City, and Wes Flynn (Michela) of Bostic, brother, Hubert Flynn (Faye) of Union Mills, and sister, Frances Gilbert (Rick) of Rutherfordton, five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

A graveside service was February 9, 2022, at First Baptist Church Cemetery in Bostic with the Rev. Clay Earle officiating.
