Michael James McComb, age 78, passed away Sunday, January 1, 2012. He was born to the late Robert Lee Phillips and Maude Allison Phillips. 

    In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Angela Featherstone McComb. 

    He is survived by one daughter, Jackie Maney of Bessemer City, NC; three sons, Robert Phillips and Joe Phillips both of Kings Mountain, NC and Richard Phillips of Mt. Holly, NC; three grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.

    A graveside service was held at the Rutherford County Memorial Cemetery.

    Harrelson Funeral Home is serving to McComb family.
