PrintMichael "Mike" Scoggin, age 75, of Rutherfordton, NC, died Saturday, July 29, 2023.
He was the son of the late Earl Scoggin and Martha Freeman Scoggin and a native of Rutherford County. He was a member of Mount Vernon Baptist Church and Masonic Lodge #91 Rutherfordton. Mike retired from Duke Power and the Rutherford County School System.
He is survived by his wife Paula B. Scoggin, one daughter: Heather McEntire, one son Rusty Scoggin (Samantha), twin sister Anna Lancaster (Paul), six grandchildren, one great-grandchild.
The Graveside service was held at Mt.Vernon Baptist Cemetery on August 1 with Reagan Clark officiating.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Mosaic Hope; PO Box 1211; Rutherfordton, NC 28139.
