Michael Wayne Lucas, age 60, of Bostic, passed away Saturday, January 7, 2017.

Born August 16, 1956 in Wilson County, NC, he was a son to the late Brochie Leland Lucas and Lethia Marie Forbes Lucas. Michael was a cabinetmaker and worked for Wilson Woodworks for many years. He was a member of Fork Creek Baptist Church and besides his passion for woodworking, he also enjoyed the outdoors.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Joseph Bobby Lucas and a sister, Deborah Marie Lucas Pittman.

Survivors include his wife, Nell Hoyle Lucas of Bostic; 1 brother, Richard Lucas and wife, Susan of Wilson, NC.

The memorial service was conducted at the Harrelson Funeral Chapel with Reverend Billy Cogdell officiating. Memorial donations are respectively requested to the American Cancer Society at www.cancer.org

Harrelson Funeral and Cremation Services have been entrusted with arrangements.
