Mina Lopez, age 83, formerly a resident of the Carolina House of Forest City, passed away Monday, March 12, 2012.

    Mina was born November 2, 1928 in Ovar, Portugal to the late Alfredo Lopes Tavares and Germana Rodriquez Tavares.  She worked for the US Government as a background analyst and was a dedicated Roman Catholic.

    Funeral services will be conducted in Newark, New Jersey.

    Harrelson Funeral Home is in charge of local arrangements.
