Minister Rosie M. Watkins, age 64, of Forest City, NC, passed away Friday, December 16, 2011.
A memorial service was conducted at the New Zion Baptist Church in Henrietta
Rosie was born to the late George Bristol, Sr. and Katie Mosley Bristol. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James W. Watkins, Sr. and two sisters, Betty McKinney and Martha Twitty.
Survivors include two sons, James W. Watkins, Jr. and wife, Crystal of San Diego, CA., Jimmy Watkins and wife, Theresa of Memphis, TN; one daughter, Malaresia Watkins of Forest City; six sisters, Carolyn Bristol Sallie, Margaret Bristol, Elizabeth Darden, Catherine Foster, Annie McDowell and Mammie Lawrence and one brother, George Bristol, Jr. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
