Miss Wanda Frances Kay Sheppard, 41, of Lawndale, NC went to be with the Lord Wednesday, May 18, 2011. A Celebration of her life will be held at Bethel Baptist Church, located at 606 South DeKalb St., Shelby, NC.

Miss Sheppard was preceded in death by her father, John Elmo Sheppard, Sr.; and grandparents, Arthur and Georgie Shoemaker and Roy and Kathleen Sheppard; and 1 aunt.

She is survived by her mother, Betty Shoemaker Sheppard of the home; 1 sister, Betty Shelton and husband Jeffery; 2 brothers, John E. Sheppard, Jr. and Steven E. Sheppard; 1 niece; 1 nephew; 1 aunt; 5 uncles; and a number of cousins and other family members.
