Mittie Johnson Hutchins, age 97

Mittie Johnson Hutchins, age 97, of Rutherfordton, passed away Tuesday, December 10, 2013. 

A native of Rutherford County, she was the daughter of the late John Henry and Millie Melton Johnson. She was retired from Broyhill Industries and a charter member of Westminster Baptist Church.

Left to cherish her memories are her daughters Edna Ledbetter and husband Max of Rutherfordton, Helen Prince and husband Bill of Rutherfordton, Bonnie Edwards and husband Clyde of Charlotte, Jean Harrill and husband Ronnie of Forest City; sons Bobby Hutchins and wife Jeannette of Forest City, Clyde Hutchins and wife DJ of Rutherfordton, Coy Hutchins and wife Sandra of Rutherfordton; eleven grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren and one great great grandchild; sister Myrtle Miller and husband Wayne of Linwood, NC. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Broadus Hutchins.

Funeral services were held at Westminster Baptist Church with Rev. Clifford Bradshaw and Rev. Aaron Vess officiating. Interment followed in the church cemetery..
