Mr. Billy “Preacher” Dee Turner, 76, of Caroleen, NC passed away Saturday, May 7, 2011. Services were held at Harrelson Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Providence United Methodist Church Cemetery.

Mr. Turner was preceded in death by his parents, Darvin D. Turner and Estelle Sisk Turner; and 1 brother, David Turner.

He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Elizabeth “Lib” Turner of the home; 2 sons, Barry Turner of Caroleen and Marshall Turner and wife Peggy of Forest City; 1 daughter, Sandy Turner Oliver and husband Archie of Rutherfordton; 5 sisters, Margaret Head of Gastonia, Patsy Edwards and husband, Lewis of Shelby, NC, Myra Connor of Caroleen, Christine Hodge of Alexander Mills, and Debra Coffey and husband Tindale of Sandy Mush; 5 brothers, Herman Turner and wife Nancy, Frank Turner and wife Helen, and Brannon Turner and wife Etta Mae, all of Caroleen, Donald Turner of Alexander Mills, and Broadus Turner and wife Alleen of Mooresboro; 5 grandchildren; and 6 great-grandchildren.
