Mr. Charlie Lumard Mathis, 65, of Spindale, NC passed away Wednesday, December 15, 2010. Services were held at Crowe’s Funeral Home Chapel. Burial followed in Plain View Baptist Church Cemetery.

Mr. Mathis was preceded in death by his parents, William Odus and Nellie Lorene Willis Mathis.

He is survived by 2 daughters, Laura Dianne Baxley and Janice Lynn Conner of Kings Mountain, NC; 1 son, Michael Shane Mathis of Kings Mountain; 2 brothers, Jimmy Clinton Mathis of Boiling Springs and Tommy Douglas Mathis of Polkville; 1 sister, Mildred Lorene Turner of Ellenboro; 4 grandchildren; and 5 step-children, Renee Dill, Darlene Cummings, Tommy Dill, Marshall Dill and Danny Upton.

Crowe’s Funeral Home & Crematory, Rutherfordton, NC is serving the family.
