Mr. Clarence Beaver, 77, of Bostic, passed away Tuesday, April 17, 2012.  He was the son of the late Thomas and Perida Deyton Beaver. He retired from the NC Department of Transportation where he was a heavy equipment operator and later worked for Strickland Grading. He was a member of Missionary Wesleyan Church. He was an avid hunter and enjoyed fishing, baseball and basketball. 
    He is survived by his wife, Marian Owens Beaver; two sons, Todd Beaver and his wife Mary, of Ellenboro, and Travis Beaver and his wife Felicia, of Forest City; a sister, Mamie Beaver of Hollis; a nephew/brother, Henry McGinnis of Hollis; a grandson, Nick Beaver; four step grandchildren, Tyler Newton, Brooke Newton Earley, Thomas Waters, and Lindsay Watson; and a step great grandchild, Morgan Newton. 


    Funeral services were held at Missionary Wesleyan Church with Rev. Steve Beam, Rev. David Philbeck, Rev. Everett Priddy, and Rev. Wes Judy officiating.     
Memorials may be made to Hospice of Rutherford County, POB 336, Forest City, NC 28043.    

    Washburn & Dorsey Funeral Home is assisting the family.
