Mr. David Allison Hunt, 76, of Rutherfordton, NC passed away Sunday, May 8, 2011. A Memorial Service was held at St. Francis Episcopal Church.
Mr. Hunt served our country in the U.S. Army as an Army Medic in the 311th Army Engineers in Germany.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Horace Wright and Dorothy Rachel Allison Eastburn Hunt; and 2 sisters, Marion Hadick and Martha Johnson.
He is survived by his wife Kathryn “Katy” Maercker Hunt of the home; 2 daughters, Nancy Lawson and husband Barry of Asheville, and Diane Dickerson and husband Pete of Rutherfordton; 1 son, David Hunt and wife Laura of Forest City; 3 brothers, Lee Eastburn of Cave Creek, AZ, Clifford Hunt of Oak Park, IL, and Horace Hunt of South Elgin IL; 1 sister, Susan Gordon of Chicago, IL; and 7 grandchildren.
