Mr. Donald Raymond McEntire, Sr. age 80 of Rutherfordton passed away Saturday June 17, 2017.

Raymond was a native of Rutherford County, a self-employed auto body repairman, a member of Shingle Hollow Congregational Holiness Church and Veteran of the US Navy.

Left to cherish his memory are two sons - Donald (Darlene) McEntire, Jr. and Allan McEntire, one daughter Cindy Russell, ten grandchildren, six great grandchildren, three brothers - Jesse McEntire, Leonard McEntire and Ruben McEntire, two sisters - Annie Arrowood and Ronelle Tuttle. He was preceded in death by his parents Lee and Rosa Lee Hardin McEntire.

Funeral services were held at Gilkey Church of God in Rutherfordton, with Rev. Chris Kennedy and Rev. Jack Crain officiating. Burial was held in Piney Knob Baptist Church Cemetery with military honors provided by the Rutherford County Veterans Honor Guard.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Piney Knob Baptist Church Cemetery Fund.
