Mr. Dwight C. Whitaker, formerly of Charlotte, NC passed away on Thursday, September 27, 2011. Graveside services were held at Sunset Memorial Park in Forest City.
Mr. Whitaker was preceded in death by his parents, E.E. and Cora Mae Clemmons Whitaker of Spindale and a sister, Mildred Maynor of Rock Hill, SC.
He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Sarah Holder Whitaker of Skylyn Place, Spartanburg, SC; a brother, Charles E. Whitaker of Forest City and several nieces and nephews.
