Mr. Dwight Harmon Hughes, 74, of Ellenboro, passed away Sunday, November 20, 2016.

Dwight was the son of the late Floyd and Gertrude Hughes and was also preceded in death by a brother, Ken Hughes; and his previous wife, Anne Dale Hughes. He was a Vietnam Army veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Morrison Hughes; a son, Johnny Gordon Hughes of Alabama; a stepson, Chris Willis of Spindale; a stepdaughter, Donna Jolley of Hendersonville; there are 5 sisters, Marilyn McSwain of Shelby, Cozette Coats of Cliffside, Donnis Gibson of Washington state, Pat Brown of Forest City, and Diane Hewitt of Charlotte; there are several grandchildren.

The Rutherford County Honor Guard rendered Military Rites.
