Mr. Edgar Lane, 74, of 903 S. Broadway, Forest City, NC passed away Friday, May 6, 2011. No formal services are planned.
Mr. Lane was preceded in death by his parents, Worth Edgar Lane and Cora Bradley Lane; 3 children, Juanita Lane, Bobby Lane, and Lynn Young; and 8 brothers and sisters.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Juanita Greenlee Lane; 1 son, Isaac Lane; 3 daughters, Birdie Bradshaw, Florence Kennedy and Dorothy Lane, all of Lincolnton; 2 brothers, Clarence Lane and Charles Lane, both of Rutherfordton; 3 sisters, Lillie Jones of Cliffside, Ann Hamby of Statesville and Sue Lane of Rutherfordton; 3 grandchildren; and 1 great-granddaughter.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to: Harrelson Funeral Home, 1251 US Highway 221A, Forest City, NC 28043 to help defray funeral costs.
