Mr. Harry Thomas Poore, Jr., 75, of Union Mills, NC, passed away Saturday, December 4, 2010. A Celebration of Life Service was held at Crowe’s Mortuary, Rutherfordton, NC with Military Honors provided by the Rutherford County Honor Guard.
Mr. Poore served our country in the U.S. Marine Corp for 3 years and in the U.S. Army for 6 years during both the Korean and Vietnam Wars.
He is survived by his wife, Linda Rumfelt Poore; 2 sons, Harry Thomas Poore, III and Lamar Poore; 1 daughter, Donna Sue Crow; 1 sister, Darlene Jennings; 2 step-daughters, Nikki Chadwick and Gwendolyn Bernal; and 11 grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to: Rutherford County Honor Guard, c/o Rutherford County Veterans Council, 303 Fairground Road, Spindale, NC 28160.
