Mr. Herman Jones, of Cliffside, passed away on Monday, June 4, 2018.

He was the husband of the late Lillie Mae Jones and was the son of the late Herman M. Jones, Sr. and Connie Scruggs Jones. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. He was a member of the Cliffside Masonic Lodge #460, where he was a Past Master. He was a former member of the Rutherford County Rescue #13.

He is survived by a son, Michael Jones (Sherri) of Charlotte; two daughters, Diane Pye (Russell) of Shiloh; Kay Rhoads (Eric) of Rutherfordton; a brother, Barry Jones (Frances) of Cliffside a sister, Ruth Ruppe (John E.) of Gaffney; and by eight grandchildren, and 13 great-grandchildren. In addition to his wife, he is predeceased by two brothers, Walter Jones, Eugene Raeford, two sisters Evelyn Martin and Melvina Humphries.

Funeral services were held at Calvary Baptist Church, officiated by the Rev. Tim Frashire and Rev. Ernie Cole. Final resting place followed in Prospect Baptist Church Cemetery.

Eggers Funeral Home of Cliffside served the family.
