Mr. Hubert Russell Taylor, 74, of 210 Woodview Dr., Rutherfordton, NC, passed away Friday, November 19,  2010. Services were held at Crowe’s Funeral Home Chapel. Burial followed in Sunset Memorial Park.

Mr. Taylor was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Earl and Dora Ridings Taylor; 1 son, Darryl Taylor; 3 brothers, Ray, Marshal and John Taylor; and 3 sisters, Louvenia McAbee, Marcyle Harper and Margaret Holland.

He is survived by his wife, Nellie Patterson Taylor; 3 daughters, Deborah Hogsed and Faye Taylor, both of Forest City, and Donna Jarrett of Ellenboro; 2 sons, Dale Champion of Cliffside and Doyle Taylor of Shelby; 1 sister, Jolene Cooper of Marion, NC; 9 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to: Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church Building Fund, 397 Mt. Pleasant Church Rd., Forest City, NC 28043.
