Mr. Jerry “Steve” Bowen, 53, of Rutherfordton, NC, passed away Wednesday, June 16, 2010. Services were held at Harrelson Funeral Home Chapel. A Private Burial will follow at a later date.

Mr. Bowen was preceded in death by his father, Edley Junior Bowen; and his step-father, Ed Plumley.

He is survived by his mother, Johnnie Wall Bowen Plumley; his life-long companion, Alice Leming of Rutherfordton; 3 sisters, Dianne Clayton and husband Ditney, and Darlene Harmon, all of Sandy Mush, and Danita Bailey of Mooresboro; 1 step-daughter, Melanie Ward of Rutherfordton; 2 step-sons, Greg Ward and wife Shawna of Union Mills and Matthew Ward and wife Leslie of Rutherfordton; 7 grandchildren; and 2 nieces and 2 nephews.
