Mr. Jimmy Arthur Blanton, Jr., 53, of Piedmont, SC passed away Tuesday, December 14, 2010. A private celebration of Jamie’s life will be held at a later date.

Mr. Blanton is survived by his wife of 27 years, Gail Schaalma Blanton; his parents, Jimmy and Kay Roberson Blanton of Nebo, NC; 1 daughter, Shannon Blanton of Greenville, SC; 1 sister, Shelly Grant of Nebo; and 1 step-daughter, Angela Cummings of Greenville, SC.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to: Presbyterian Hospice and Palliative Care, 200 Hawthorne Lane, Charlotte, NC 28204.
