Mr. John Dean Wease, 76, passed away June 18, 2018.

A native of Rutherford County, he was the son of the late Climouse Wease and Lilly Henson Wease. He was an avid golfer and gardener.

He was a member of Hicks Grove Baptist Church and proudly served our country in the US Navy. He is survived by a special friend of 27 years, Matlee Justice of Inman, SC; son, Eric Wease (Christina) of Mooresboro; daughter, Pam Givens of Forest City; brothers, Robert Wease (Cathy) of Gaffney and Donald Wease (Joyce) of Chesnee, SC; sisters, Loretta Hamrick of Chesnee, SC, Jennie Sue Collins (Keith) of Honea Path, SC, Frances Botts (Dewey) and Betty Allen of Mooresboro; a grandson; four granddaughters and three great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at Hicks Grove Baptist Church. Rev. Raymond Byrd and Rev. Buddy Robbins officiated. Interment followed in the church cemetery with Military Honors.

Pallbearers were: Mike Botts, Todd Wease, Scott Wease, Job Wease, Tommy Erwood and Matt Wease.

Eggers Funeral Home of Cliffside assisted the Family.
