Mr. John Landon Hawkins, 74, of Ellenboro, NC, passed away Tuesday, July 27, 2010. Services were held at Harrelson Funeral Chapel. Burial followed in Mt. Olivet Baptist Church Cemetery.
Mr. Hawkins was preceded in death by his parents, James Virgil Hawkins and Eula Beatrice Gordon Hawkins; 2 sisters, Aileen Arrowood and Nadine Hawkins; and 3 brothers, Benjamin Lee Hawkins, Paul Edward Hawkins, and Samuel Odell Hawkins.
He is survived by 1 sister, Mary Jo Dobbins and husband Wayne of Ellenboro; 2 brothers, James Donald Hawkins and wife Kathleen of Cherryville, and Bobby Gene Hawkins and wife Deann of Cliffside; and several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to: Mt. Olivet Baptist Church, 1517 Mt. Olivet Church Road, Ellenboro, NC 28040.
