Mr. John Oliver McKinney, 70, of Walker Hames Road, Lincolnton, GA, formerly of Ellenboro, passed away Friday, April 29, 2011. Services were held at Canaan  Baptist Church, Casar, NC.

Mr. McKinney served our country in the U.S. Army.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Grady and Mildred Wilson McKinney; and 1 brother, Clay McKinney.

He is survived by his wife, Emily Luckadoo McKinney; 2 sons, Jason McKinney and Brent McKinney, both of Lincolnton, GA; 1 daughter, Jessica Causey and husband, Dr. Tim Causey of Washington, GA; 2 brothers, Bill McKinney and Claude McKinney, both of Ellenboro; and 1 granddaughter.

McKinney-Landreth & Carroll Funeral Home, Cliffside, NC is serving the family.
