Mr. Leon B. Mauney, 84, of Rutherfordton, NC, passed away Friday, August 13, 2010. Services were held at Harrelson Funeral Home Chapel. Burial followed in Sunset Memorial Park with Masonic Rites.
Mr. Mauney was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, E. Coleen Mauney; his parents, Horace Dobbins Mauney and Minnie Jane Huntsinger Mauney; 1 granddaughter; 4 brothers, Gerald Mauney, John Mauney, Jim Mauney, and Glen Mauney; and 1 sister, Mildred Hardin.
He is survived by 1 son, Robert Mauney and wife Theresa of Cliffside; 3 daughters, Anna Hudson of Columbus, NC, Rebecca Moore and husband Neal of Rutherfordton, and Patricia Craft and husband Wilbur of Huntington, WV; 1 sister, Merle Deck and husband Henry of Rutherfordton; 6 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great-grandchild.
