Mr. Louis Eugene Blanton, 77, of Owens Street, Ellenboro, NC passed away Sunday, May 15, 2011. Services was held at Corinth Baptist Church. Burial followed in the church cemetery.
Mr. Blanton served our country in the U.S. Army.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Docia Patterson Blanton; 1 son, Ray Blanton; 4 brothers, C.G. Blanton, Bill Blanton, Jack Blanton and Donald Blanton; and 1 sister, Elizabeth Brewer.
He is survived by his loving companion of 30 years, Betty Karnes; 2 sons, Louis Eugene Blanton, Jr. and Charlie Blanton, both of Ellenboro, NC; 2 daughters, Donna Gault of Union, SC and Becky Wilson of Forest City, NC; 3 brothers, Bobby Blanton, Finley Blanton, and Sam Blanton, all of Ellenboro, NC; 2 sisters, Janie Harris and Nellie Kimbrell, both of Ellenboro, NC; 3 grandchildren; and 2 great-grandchildren.
McKinney-Landreth & Carroll Funeral Home, Cliffside, NC is serving the family.
