Mr. Luther James Dailey, 75

Mr. Luther James Dailey, 75 of Ellenboro passed away on Tuesday June 19, 2018.

He was born in Polk County, Florida to the late Andrew W. Dailey and Ethel Steadman Dailey. He was the loving husband of Valeria Harris Dailey of the home. He worked for Thompsons Contractors of Rutherfordton for 30 years, a member of Haynes Memorial Baptist Church in Henrietta, a loving family man who loved camping, fishing and just being outdoors.

He is also survived by a son James Anthony "Tony" Dailey and wife Patricia of Ellenboro, two sisters: Hattie Lee Culpepper and Barbara Jean Copeland both of Winter Haven, FL. Three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Besides his parents he was also preceded in death by a brother Junior Dailey and four sisters: Beatrice Dailey, Jewel Tripp, Virginia Price and Shirley Harrill.

Funeral service was held at Eggers Funeral Home of Cliffside. Rev. Dwayne Scruggs and Rev. Sam Henderson officiated. Final resting place was held at the Rutherford County Memorial Cemetery, Forest City.
