Mr. McGee Delbert Jones, of Rutherfordton, NC, passed away Tuesday, August 10, 2010. Graveside Services were held in Sunset Cemetery, Shelby, NC.

Mr. Jones served our country in the U.S. Army, World War II with the 567th AAA (AW) Batallion.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 63 years, Helen Newton Jones; his parents, Edd and Frances Greene Jones; 2 infant daughters, Rebecca Gail and Frances Jane; 1 brother, Wray Jones; 1 sister, Jeanette Jones Jones; and 1 grandson.

He is survived by 2 sons, Jimmy Jones and wife Cathy of Asheboro, NC and Brent Jones and wife Jean of Morehead, KY; 2 daughters, Sandy Austin and husband Ted of Rutherfordton, NC and Janet Mancinelli and husband John of Shelby, NC; 1 sister, Thelma McGinnis of Lake Charles, LA; 9 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
