Mr. Paul G. Whitaker, 84, of Forest City, passed away on Wednesday, September 14, 2011. Services were held at Chase Baptist Church. Internment was held in Rutherford County Memorial Cemetery.
Mr. Whitaker was preceded in death by by his wife of 53 years, Edna Coffey Whitaker; his parents, Thurman Whitaker and Mattie Greene Whitaler; eight brothers, Henry, Roy, George, Charlie, J.R., Dan, Clarence and Morris Whitaker and his son in-law, Mike Shull.
Survivors include his daughter, Paulette Shull of Shelby; four sisters, Mable Randolph and Ruth Whitaker both of Henrietta, Sarah Hawkins of Ellenboro and Alice Meeks of Georgia; two grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Memorials may be made to Chase Baptist Church, 1725 Harris-Henrietta Road, Forest City, NC 28043.
