Mr. Ralph J. Hensley, 82, of Caroleen, NC passed away Friday, December 17, 2010. Services were held at Harrelson Funeral Chapel. Burial followed in Rutherford County Memorial Cemetery with military honors being accorded by the Rutherford County Honor Guard.

Mr. Hensley served our country in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Korean War.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Joe Hensley and Reba Elsie Noblett Hensley; 1 son, Jimmy Hicks; and 2 brothers, George Hensley and James “Jim” Hensley.

He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Dorothy Liverett Hensley; 2 daughters, Virginia Greene and husband James of Gaffney, SC, and Phyllis Pliaconis and husband Anthony of  Easley, SC; 2 sisters, Charlotte Owens of Caroleen and Ruby Childers and husband Jimmy of Sandy Mush; 1 sister-in-law, Betty Hensley of Caroleen; 10 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
