Mr. Ralph Nolan Padgett, 88, of Big Island Road, Rutherfordton, NC, passed away Thursday, June 2, 2011. Services were held at Holly Springs Baptist Church. Burial followed in the church cemetery with military honors being accorded by the Rutherford County Honor Guard.
Mr. Padgett served our country in the US Navy–WWII.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 52 years, Ruth Cole Padgett; his parents, John C. Padgett and Mary Willie Putnam Padgett; and 1 brother, Clark Padgett.
He is survived by 1 daughter, Treva Padgett Roche of Forest City; 1 brother, Howard Padgett and wife Joyce of Caroleen; 1 sister, Frances Kimbrell of Spartan burg, SC; 1 granddaughter; 2 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
Harrelson Funeral Home, Caroleen, NC is serving the family.
