Mr. Robert E. Hoyle, 84, of Bostic, passed away Wednesday, January 11, 2017.

He was the son of the late Belo and Florence Ross Hoyle, and was also preceded in death by his brothers, Billy Hoyle, Bernie Hoyle, and Herman Hoyle, and 2 of his sisters, Modene Landis and Ruth Kimbrell. Robert was a US Army Veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Irene Hoyle; a stepson, Billy Williams of Forest City; a stepdaughter, Nancy McCurry of Bostic; 2 sisters, Ruby Hutchins of Morganton and Lillian Greene of Kings Mountain; 2 grandchildren; 1 great granddaughter.

The Funeral was conducted at Sandy Level Baptist Church. The Rev. David Barton officiated. Burial followed in the church cemetery.

Washburn & Dorsey Funeral and Cremation Service are in charge of arrangements.
