Mr. Robert Henry McKinney 76

Mr. Robert Henry McKinney 76 of Shelby passed away on Tuesday June 12, 2018.

He was the son of the late Emmit and Mattie Sue Beason McKinney. He was also preceded in death by his wife Alice Mae Bostic McKinney. He was a member of Gantt's Grove Baptist Church where he played softball on their team. He retired from the Highway Department. He was an avid Yankee's fan and loved spending time with his grandchildren and his great grandchild. He will be truly missed by all who knew him.

In addition to his wife and parents he was also preceded in death by a son Michael Todd McKinney. He is survived by his son Alan Scott McKinney and fiancée Donna Francis, one sister; Carolyn Yelton and husband Johnny of Columbia, SC. Two grandchildren and, one great grandchild.

A gathering of friends and family was held at Gantt's Grove Baptist Church in Mooresboro, the funeral followed with Pastor Robert Lane and Pastor Dave Walton officiating. Robert was laid to rest in the church cemetery following the service.
