Mr. Van Hugh Dotson, 61, of Rutherfordton, NC passed away on Wednesday, February 22, 2011. Services were held at Wilson Baptist Church. Burial followed in the church cemetery with Military Honors provided by the Rutherford County Honor Guard.

Mr. Dotson served our country in the US Army in Vietnam.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Wayne and Mary Louise Melton Dotson.

He is survived by his wife, Annette McGowan Dotson of the home; three daughters, Mary Frances Dotson of Rutherfordton, Windy Dotson Christy and husband Richard of Raleigh and Dina Dotson Swink and husband Trent of Harris; three brothers, Charles Wayne Dotson of Rutherfordton, Dean Dotson of Rutherfordton and Frank Dotson of Forest City and three grandchildren.
