Mr. William "Bill" Joe Roberts Sr., age 81, a native of Cleveland County passed away on February 2, 2018.

He was born to the late Joe Thomas and Lois Owens Roberts in Belwood. He is also predeceased by two brothers, Charles Roberts and John Roberts; sisters, Pauline Thrift, Francis Laws and Linda Lane.

Bill leaves behind to cherish his memories a son, Chris Roberts; three grandchildren; one brother, Grady Roberts; one sister, Margaret Norris.

Bill served in the US Air Force as a Police Officer. He was stationed in England and served in Germany, Spain and Italy and fought during the Korean War. He loved Bluegrass music, music festivals and sitting around the kitchen table with family. He was an avid storyteller. He loved his grandchildren with all of his being and he will greatly be missed. A private Celebration of Life will be held later.
