Mr. William Jack Allison, 89, of Gaffney, passed away on Monday, February 27, 2012.
A graveside service was held at Rutherford County Memorial Cemetery.
A native of Cherokee County, South Carolina, he was born on April 10, 1922, a son of the late John Horace Allison, Sr. and Myrtle Anne Phillips Allison. He was retired from Blythe Brothers, was a United States Army Veteran and a member of State Line Baptist Church.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Madge Selvey Allison. He is survived by two daughters, Jackie Scruggs and husband Terry of Gaffney and Rebecca Luann Campfield and husband Mark of Gaffney; one brother, Hershel L. Allison of Shelby; four great grandchildren, Erica Strawn, Rebecca Scruggs Bowen, Clay Scruggs, and Kyle Scruggs; three great-grandchildren, Jacob Pridmore, Izabella Lu Strawn and Sadie McKenzie Strawn.
