Mr. Worth William Johnson, 84, of Spindale, NC, passed away Wednesday, August 25, 2010. Services were held at Spindale United Methodist Church. Private entombment services will be held later. 

Mr. Johnson served our country in the U.S. Navy – WWII.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Cicero and Onnie Laughter Johnson.

He is survived by his wife, Grace Thomas Johnson of the home; 1 son, Bill Johnson of Spindale; 1 daughter, Leslie McBrayer of Newtown, PA; 1 sister, Diane Sanford of Rutherfordton; 1 brother, Raymond Johnson of Decatur, GA; 4 grandchildren; and 1 great-grandchild.

In lieu of flowers, memorials, may be made to: RS Central Athletic Department, Spindale Library; or to: Spindale United Methodist Church.
