Mr. Wyath R. “Butch” Moore, 87, of Union Mills, passed away on Monday, February 7, 2011. Services were held at Vein Mountain Baptist Church. Interment followed in the church cemetery with military honors provided by the Rutherford County Honor Guard.

Mr. Moore served our country in World War II.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruby W. Moore; his parents, George A. Moore Sr. and Christeen Withrow Moore.

He is survived by one brother, Robert A. Moore of Gilkey; five sisters, Estelle Honeycutt of Monroe; Mary Sue Randall of Spartanburg; Iris Newton of Forest City; Patsy Allen and Mildred Henderson of Union Mills.
