Mrs. Barbara Jean "B.J." Kidwell, 52

Mrs. Barbara Jean "B.J." Kidwell, 52, of Forest City, passed away Thursday, March 17, 2016.

A native of Madison County, NC, she is the daughter of Ruby Bradley of Rutherfordton, NC and the late Glen Evans and was the widow of the late James Forest "Beaver" Kidwell. Barbara attended Spindale Fellowship Holiness Church and loved flowers, being outside and working in her yard. Barbara loved her grandchildren very much.

In addition to her mother, she is survived by her companion, Charles Wall; a daughter, Elizabeth Shelton of the home; two sons, Steven Effler and wife Chelsie, and Eddie Effler and wife Amber, all of Tennessee; four grandchildren; a step-daughter, Laura Kidwell and a step grandson.

No formal services are planned. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 22478, Oklahoma City, OK 73123.

The Padgett and King Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
