Mrs. Bernice Mock, 72, of Rutherfordton, passed away Wednesday, February 2, 2011 at her home. Services were held at Crowe’s Funeral Chapel, interment followed in the Gold Hill Missionary Baptist Church cemetery.

Mrs. Mock is preceded in death by her husband, Harold Mock; her parents, Horace and Alma Whitesides Carpenter; brother, Horace Carpenter, Jr; and sister, Margaret Carpenter Price.

She is survived by four daughters; Sharon Jackson and husband Doug of Forest City; Macy Carpenter, Pamela Mock and Yahative Davis and husband Travis, all  of Rutherfordton; two grandchildren; and one great grandchild.
