Mrs. Betty Pitts Gibert, 76, of Forest City, NC went to be with the Lord on Monday, February 7, 2011. Services were held at First Presbyterian Church in Forest City. Graveside services were held at Poplar Springs Baptist Church cemtery in Ware Shoals, SC.

Mrs. Gibert was preceded in death by her parents, Henry Lee and Velma Hopkins Pitts and her brothers Carl Pitts, Arthur Pitts, Neil Pitts, Charles Pitts and Wilbur Pitts.

She is survived by her husband, William Perry Gibert of the home; four sons, Richard Gibert of Ellenboro, Michael Gibert and wife Donna; Glenn Gibert and wife Amy, all of Forest City; Dale Gibert of Mooresboro; three sisters, Martha Henderson and Winnie Faye Pitts of Ware Shoals, SC; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Presbyterian Church, 438 West Main St., Forest City, NC 28043.

Crowe’s Mortuary of Rutherfordton, NC is serving the family.
