Mrs. Elsie Mae Henderson Padgett Luckadoo, 97, of 1302 Old Cox Rd., Asheboro, NC, passed away on Sunday, June 12, 2011. Services were held at A.C. McKinney Memorial Chapel, Cherryville, NC. Burial followed in High Shoals Baptist Church Cemetery.
Mrs. Luckadoo was preceded in death by her 1st husband of 50 years, Noyce Leon Padgett, Sr.; her 2nd husband of 12 years, Rev. W.T. Luckadoo; her parents, Crayton and Ila Stedman Henderson; 1 step-son, Noyce Padgett, Jr.; and 1 granddaughter, Sue Ann Cranford.
She is survived by 1 son, Jerry Padgett and wife Shirley of Franklinville; 3 daughters, Barbara Fraizer of Franklinville, Mary Ann Edwards and husband Richard of Clearwater, FL, and Martha Jane Gazaway and husband Mark of Asheboro; 1 step-daughter, Reba Ford; 1 daughter-in-law, Kathryn Padgett of Cliffside; 9 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; 8 great-great-grandchildren; and 16 nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to: the charity of the donors choice.
