Mrs. Esther B. Hodge, age 76 of 175 Balmy Lane passed away Friday December 14, 2012.  

Esther was a daughter of the late Charles Jackson Kirby and Sarah Hedges Kirby and was a member of Piedmont Baptist Church. 

Left to cherish her memory are her husband Willie Lee Hodge, two sons Timothy Charles Hodge and Randy Lynn Hodge, one daughter Debbie Hodge Hedgecock, two brothers Jack Kirby and Thomas Kirby, two sisters Phyllis Ellenburg and Edna Moss, six grandchildren, two great grandchildren and a number of  other friends and relatives.

A celebration of life was held at the Hodge residence. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Grace Of God Rescue Mission 537 West Main St Forest City, NC 28043.
