Mrs. Fern Watkins McEntire, 85 of Forest City, NC passed away Monday, September 13, 2010. Services were held at Piney Knob Baptist Church. Burial followed in the church cemetery.
Mrs. McEntire was preceded in death by her husband, Louis McEntire; and her parents, Ed and Pansey Morris Watkins.
She is survived by 1 daughter, Janice Owens Jones of Rutherfordton; 3 sons, Eddie Lynn Watkins and Charles Leslie Owens, both of Rutherfordton, and David Lee Owens of Asheville; 1 step-daughter, Diane Whisnant of Caroleen; 2 sisters, Levyelle McDaniel of Cornelius and Rachel Haynes of Green Hill; 11 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
