Mrs. Florence Penola Hudgins Ruff, 89, of 138 Ruff’s Trail, Rutherfordton, NC passed away Saturday, April 30, 2011. Services were held at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church (Polk County). Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Mrs. Ruff was preceded in death by her husband, Lawton Ruff; her parents, Logan and Nannie Jackson Hudgins; 1 brother, Anderson Hudgins; and 6 sisters, Clara Morgan, Myrtle Bailey, Lillie Roberts, Mattie Odell, Ethel Lawter and Hester Haynes.
She is survived by her children, Bertha Ruff, Troy Ruff and wife Jean, Joe Ruff and wife Shirley, and Faye Ruff Hodge, all of Rutherfordton, NC, and Bobby Ruff and wife Janet of Columbus, NC; 4 grandchildren; and 4 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to: Steven Ruff Medical Fund, c/o Mountains Bank, Columbus, NC.
