Mrs. Frances Sue Huffstickler Howell, 87, of Rutherfordton, NC, passed away Wednesday, June 23, 2010. Services were held at Southern Baptist Church. Burial followed in the church cemetery. 

Mrs. Howell was preceded in death by her husband, Charlie R. Howell.

She is survived by 2 daughters, Mary Alice Harper of Greenville, SC, and Brenda Plumley and husband Bill of Mooresville, NC; 2 sons, Robert Howell and wife Martha of Statesville, NC and Kenny Ray Howell of Ellenboro, NC; 8 grandchildren; and 4 great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to: Hospice of Rutherford County, P.O. Box 336, Forest City, NC 28043; or to: Southern Baptist Church, 140 Church St., Rutherfordton, NC 28139.
