Mrs. Hazel Koone, 90 of Rutherfordton, NC passed away on Sunday, September 18, 2011. Services were held at Mountain Creek Baptist Church. Concluding services were held in the church cemetery.
Mrs. Koone was preceded in death by her husband Lottice Robert Koone and her parents, Mark and Anniebelle Owens Millard.
She is survived by one son, Lonnie Koone and his wife Tamara of Rutherfordton, NC; one grandson, Brandon Bivens; two sisters, Helen Ferguson of Union Mills and Frances Hensley of Rutherfordton; brother-in-law Donald Koone and sister-in-law, Dot Keeter.
