Mrs. Irene Morrow Splawn, 84, of Oakland Road, Forest City, NC, passed away Tuesday, November 30, 2010. Services were held at Florence Baptist Church. Burial followed in Rutherford County Memorial Cemetery.
Mrs. Splawn was preceded in death by her husband of 35 years, Odell Splawn; her parents, Elmer “Buddy” Morrow and Laura Warlick Morrow; 1 son, Larry Splawn; 4 brothers, Charles Morrow, Jack Morrow, Jerry Morrow and Joe Morrow; and 3 sisters, Ruth Moore, Martha McDaniel and Betty Bostic.
She is survived by 3 daughters, Nancy Splawn, Lisa Splawn and Lauren Yelton and husband Mike, all of Forest City; 5 sisters, Rosie Bridges, Rebecca Davis, and Linda Vallecillo, all of Forest City, and Susan Dycus of Harris, and Donna Roach of Ellenboro; 5 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
