Mrs. Joan Humphries Harris, 77, of Forest City, NC passed away on Monday, September 19, 2011. Services were held at Harrelson Funeral Chapel. Internment was held at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church Cemetery in Cleveland County.
Mrs. Harris was preceded in death by her husband of 29 years, Franklin D. Harris; her parents, Archie Humphries, Sr. and Mary Helen Beason Humphries; four brothers, Dan Humphries, Steve Humphries, Buddy Humphries, Jimmy Humphries and one sister, Sara Lou Wright.
She is survived by one son, Terry Joe Harris and wife, Kathy of Cliffside; two brothers, Archie Humphries, Jr. and wife, Carolyn of Six Points and Larry Humphries and wife Thresa of Boiling Springs, NC; two sister in-laws, Peggy Humphries of Huntersville, NC and Barbara Humphries of Cliffside; two grandchildren; two great grandchildren; and several special friends.
Memorials maybe made to Hospice of Rutherford County, PO Box 336, Forest City, NC 28043.
Harrelson Funeral Home, Caroleen, NC is serving the family.
