Mrs. Kay Taylor, 81, of Forest City, NC, passed away on Friday, May 20, 2011. A memorial service was held at Crowe’s Mortuary in Rutherfordton.

Mrs. Taylor was preceded in death by her husband, Leslie Lancaster Taylor, Jr.; her parents, Fritz East and Mary Louise Kay Horton; and one son, Frederic Monroe “Fritz” Taylor.

She is survived by two sons, Michael Wren Taylor and wife Mary Kathryn of Rutherfordton and Dr. Leslie Taylor of Smithfield; one sister, Martha Norris and husband Peter of Atlanta, GA; and one grandchild, Emily Kathryn Taylor of Rutherfordton.

Crowe’s Mortuary of Rutherfordton is serving the family.
